The United Arab Emirates has recently announced numerous types of visas including options for long-stay tourists, professionals and those seeking a job, star students and high net worth individuals.
The newly introduced module has put an end to the need for arrivals to have a sponsorship. The new scheme is offering more flexibility, multi entry, 60 days entry validity and 1 unified platform to apply from.
People visiting the UAE will now be able to stay for (60) days while previously they only could stay for (30) days. In addition, a five-year multi entry tourist visa was introduced. This type does not require a sponsor and allows the person to stay in the country up to 90 consecutive days. It can also be extended for a similar period provided that the entire duration of stay does not exceed 180 days in 1 year.
After graduating from school, male children up from 18 years old to 25 can now be sponsored by their parents and stay in the UAE after school or university! Whilst an unmarried daughter can also be sponsored by the parents indefinity. Children with disability are granted residence permit permanently, regardless of their age.
Amendments to Golden Visa (we refer briefly to few of them among so many)
For sponsoring family & domestic workers – Golden visa has also been amended and is granted to investors, exceptional talents, entrepreneurs, outstanding students and graduates, scientist and professionals, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes. Once golden visa is granted, the holder of said visa can sponsor his/ her family members including spouse and children regardless of their age and to further sponsor domestic workers.
Golden visa for scientist – Golden visa shall be granted to scientists and researches of high caliber. The scientist should hold a PHD or master degree in engineering, technology, life science and natural sciences from leading universities. Researches conducted by the candidate are also an important criteria.
Golden visa for investor or partner – Investors participating or finding commercial activities can be subject to the golden visa it provides 5 years residency.
Golden visa for skilled professionals – professionals in medicine, sciences, engineering, IT, law, education, business and administration, culture and social sciences, can also qualify as highly skilled workers and opt for the golden visa. Those professionals should be working in the UAE and classified in the 1st or 2nd occupational level as per the grading the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. Candidates should hold a bachelor degree or equivalent and drawing a salary of at least AED30,000.
The new type of visas will come into effect as of September this year!
